Black Friday

Almost half of Brits are looking to find a genuinely good Black Friday deal this year, new research reveals

Today value communications provider Plusnet has found 46% of Brits are looking for a genuinely good Black Friday deal this year as budgets are tighter due to the pandemic.

The study found nearly half (49%) are fed up with Black Friday deals as they are not transparent or obvious enough, with 64% believing some deals over overhyped. and six out of 10 (60%) saying some deals they find on Black Friday turn out to be disappointing.

It comes as Plusnet is taking £5 a month off its unlimited broadband deal – available from 12th November – 2nd December for just £17.99 a month. The offer also comes with no activation cost and a £50 reward card thrown in - meaning customers are getting their broadband for as a little as £13.82 a month taking into consideration the reward card.

The promotion is being supported by an ad campaign poking fun at the often overhyped ‘amazing’, ‘best-ever’, ‘once in a lifetime’ Black Friday deals on the market.
